My Story
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Ohio, currently working full-time as a Licensed School Counselor (LSC).
I began my career as an orchestra teacher, where I first discovered my passion for helping youth. This experience inspired me to pursue a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling. After graduation, I worked as an in-home and community-based therapist at The Buckeye Ranch in Columbus. Most recently, I’ve been serving as a school counselor in a local district. My specialty lies in building strong, trusting relationships with the clients I work with. I collaborate with them to create positive change in a safe, non-judgmental space. School can be a challenging environment for youth, especially those facing additional obstacles. I have specialized training and experience in helping them navigate these difficulties through therapy and problem-solving. I also value working closely with parents and guardians when it is helpful to the child’s progress.
I primarily use a person-centered approach, incorporating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. I always strive to integrate each client’s interests into therapeutic interventions and goals to keep them engaged and motivated.
I work with individuals ages 5 and up and support a wide range of concerns.
