My Story
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of Ohio.
After completing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Kent State University, I worked as a research assistant for Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. I then went on to complete a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health and Addiction Counseling at Youngstown State University.
I have a background in community mental health and have worked with adults from various backgrounds including individuals involved in Mental Health Court and Drug Court in Mahoning County. I have a strong passion for supporting the LGBTQIA+ community and am adept in addressing a spectrum of concerns including ADHD, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief, personality disorders, and substance use disorders.
My counseling approach is versatile and inclusive. I embrace the Transtheoretical Model of Change to help clients identify and navigate the changes they're ready to embrace. My practice integrates person-centered principles with techniques drawn from various modalities, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
